Collection: YF - Urban Amish - Yolanda Fundora

Yolanda Fundora is a textile and quilt designer, fine artist, graphic designer and children's book illustrator.

Her fine art forms part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This museum was also the venue for a one-woman show in 2004-2005 titled Toward a Digital Aesthetic: the Art of Yolanda V. Fundora.

She currently licenses her designs with Blank Textiles and has in the past licensed with Free Spirit, Northcott, and Windham Fabrics. She has also worked as an in-house designer at VIP/Cranston Printworks and Concord Fabrics. In addition to her experience within the textile area, Yolanda worked for five years as the studio design director for the fused glass gift manufacturer, Peggy Karr Glass.

She has illustrated 2 children's books. Her second children's book, A Very Smart Cat/ Una gata muy inteligente (with writer, Mario Picayo) was released officially on September 21, 2008 at the Cat'n'Around festival in Catskill, NY.

She also has published a fine art book with text by botanical lecturer Marta McDowell, A Garden Alphabetized (for your viewing pleasure). The Garden Alphabetized series was also the focus of her Featured Artist spot for Apple iCards in 2005.

She is co-author of two books with quilter Barbara Campbell: Holiday Quilts and Fuse It and Be Done! a primer about all things fusible.
