Collection: PVQ - PineRose Designs - Eileen Hoheisel

I grew up with a mom who quilted. She used mostly scraps from clothing; I use mostly new fabrics. I started my quilting journey watching Eleanor Burns’ Quilt in a Day after many years of sewing clothing for my family. Several years ago I was fortunate enough to begin sewing samples for a quilt shop. I still do that, for a different shop now, and also do custom sewing for customers, either with a purchased pattern, or one designed to their wants. I’ve learned so much from these opportunities.

For quite some time I’ve been writing down instructions as I sew my own creations, and I was encouraged to put them into pattern form, which I’ve been doing since 2013.

I feel fortunate that I’m able to use my talent to earn money. I absolutely love my ‘job’, and look forward to the day when it will be my only job.

My husband and I live in the country in the house I grew up in. I love being able to look out the window and see trees and flowers and birds and animals (except when they’re eating my garden!).
