Collection: HBH - HareBrained Happenings - Mary Eeg

We are two crafty ladies who have tried our hands at a multitude of hobbies over the years including folk art, numerous sewing projects and a wide assortment of country crafts and critters. We first entered the quilting world by creating memory quilts for family members. For our next challenge, we decided to enroll in a quilting class and tackled our first real quilts – each making a full-size beginner’s sampler quilt. After that, we were hooked! This ultimately led to our passion for quilting and eventually for designing our own creations.

The design part was also unplanned as we decided to try our hands at creating a tote bag for ourselves; adding a sense of humour and also incorporating our love for our own pets. The reaction was so positive to our completed bags and we received so many inquiries asking where to purchase the pattern that this led us to produce our first pattern (Pet Lover’s Bag) which we thought could be sold to friends and possibly even local quilt shops.

Our bag pattern was so successful , that we decided to try our hand at designing our first wall hanging (Furever Friends), followed by Munch A Bunch HBH-103. A flame was ignited and our passion for quilting has now evolved into an addiction to designing and seeing our ideas come to life, both in our samples and in the individual interpretations of our customers. It is very rewarding to receive such positive feedback for our efforts and exciting to see other’s completed versions of our patterns.

Should you purchase and make one of our patterns, we would love to hear from you and see your completed project. Please email a picture to: harebrainedhappenings@yahoo.com, and we will add it to our picture album.
