How do I buy and use a downloadable pattern?
Get Adobe Reader
- Downloadable e-patterns are provided in the Adobe™ PDF format. You must have Adobe™ Reader™ 8.0 or later. If you don't have Adobe™ Reader™, it is available here for free. Download it and install it
Shop for a pattern
- Find a Downloadable Pattern you like.
- Click on the Add to Cart button to put the pattern in your Shopping Cart.
- When you are done shopping, click on the Checkout Now button. Pay for the pattern as you would for any online purchase.
Download your e-pattern
- Once we have received your payment (almost instantaneously for credit card, debit card and PayPal purchases), you receive an e-mail with a link to the pattern pdf location. Please make sure to check your SPAM/Junk folder.
- Click on the link in the e-mail and you will be taken to the pattern location on our web site.
- To download your pattern, click on the Download Now link. Your pattern will be saved to your computer. Note where it was saved to. Some browsers are set to automatically download files. Make sure to check in your download folder if you do not see a download now button.
- Once you have downloaded the pattern, click on the pattern file to open it.
- Patterns can also be downloaded directly from your QuiltWoman.com account. Login to your account. Select My Orders. Click to View the order that you wish to download. There will be a link to Download the pattern under the pattern name.
Print your e-pattern
- Print this pattern from Adobe Reader. Make sure your Page Scaling is set to NONE.
Copyright Issues
- Reproduction or transmittal of this electronic pattern by ANY means for any purpose other than for your own personal use is a violation of copyright laws.
- This electronic file is trackable.
- This pattern is for your personal use only.
- The pdf file may not be passed on to others. If the pdf is found "out in the wild," it can be traced back to its source.

Can I buy downloadable patterns if I live outside the United States?
Of course! That's the beauty of downloadable patterns. They can be "shipped" anywhere without any shipping costs.
Can I cancel my downloadable pattern order?
Sorry, that is not possible. Due to the fact that the pattern download link is available to you once your payment has been received, it's basically too late. The pattern has been delivered to you at that point.
Can I share, loan or sell my downloadable pattern file?
No. The pattern file is only for your use. Sharing or selling of a downloadable pattern is a copyright violation. And yes, we can track the source of a pattern if it shows up somewhere!
My guild loved the sample I made from your pattern. Can I teach this pattern to my guild?
The rules here are the same as with any pattern. You can teach the pattern only if all the students buy a copy of the pattern (from us or one of our retailers).
What if I find an electronic copy of one of your patterns posted somewhere on the Internet?
We would appreciate knowing if you find a downloadable copy of one of our patterns somewhere. This does not include, of course, paper versions of our patterns that are sold on many other web sites. If you do find a downloadable pattern file of ours somewhere, please let us know by emailing us at info@quiltwoman.com.
How can I pay for my downloadable pattern?
We accept credit and debit cards and PayPal™.
I am a wholesale customer, can I buy a downloadable e-Patterns?
You can buy a downloadable pattern, but only at retail prices and only for your own use. These patterns are available for wholesale purchase only in the paper version.
