MGD - Morning Glory Designs - Reeze LaLonde Hanson

A lifelong sewer and a college speech teacher, I discovered quilting after completing my Ph.D. 12 years ago. I needed a creative outlet that involved color and design after years of being submerged in the Academic and Collegiate world. I had been a professional scenic and costume designer in the educational and professional theatre for 15 years and wanted to shift my career away from theatre to textile design. I had specialized in custom bridal and formal dressmaking until discovering quilting, and I have never looked back. It was the perfect creative outlet for me and designing was a natural step in my adventure with color and fabric. My new company, Morning Glory Designs, reflects my love of all things floral as I realize a long-time dream of designing and marketing my quilt patterns, lectures, classes and workshops.
